Orange customer service!!
Just been on hold with orange customer service to check when my contract is due for renewall..
gives the girl my details, and she says i cant discuss the acc with you as we have the wrong details for your date of birth????
i questioned this, as i have had the acc for over 2 years, with no probs..
then i got the old data protection spiel!!
i gave her acc numbers bill dates and amounts, and still she wouldnt discuss anything..
when i asked if anyone would be taken to task for entering the wrong data, they suddenly become non accountable!!!!
I asked how when i had to produce id to get the phone, it wasnt transferred correctly??
and the fact that i have had the phone for 2 years with no probs, was there an issue now...
is there anyway round this, or have i got to resend all my data so i can talk to someone??
Mart

hmm
tricky one
Only the person they have registered is authorised to access the account over the phone with them, OR any person authorised by the account holder to talk to them.
The problem you have is you cannot prove that you are you over the phone!
Phone back and go through to disconnections or a supervisor and write them a shi77y letter.
It is THEIR fault, not yours, and as a customer you 'find it unacceptable' blah blah, 'cancel contract', OFTEL complaint, etc etc. If you go through to disconnections thet tend to be more helpful, as if you are through to them then they might potentially lose a customer.
You know the score- the british lead the world in moaning and complaining!
