Default garage alarms

Anyone use one off these cheap £15 - £20 garage / shed alarms available from the like off argos / index diy stores, etc ??

thinking off fitting one to help a bit more with overall security from within the garage, the garage has a rear door which although protected with both a yale lock and yale security key lock systmn would still benefit from some sort off audible alarm systmn.

advertised as having an output off 100db, is this enough volume to deter unwantted visitors from within the garage ??
any advice would certainly be appreciatted.

cheers,
john

Jono- If you can't incorporate a wired alarm system to your garage then anything has to be better than nothing.

You will have to keep on top of the batteries though (unless they use mains) because sods law says when and if it's required the batteries will be flat.

As for you hearing it, why not fit a baby alarm in the garage and one in the house too. That way you will hear it.
