Default Foreign Money Transfer

I need to pay someone in Greece for a deposit on a Villa for a weeks holiday over there. He's given me all his bank details etc, but I'd rather have the security of paying by credit card.

Is it possible to pay someone abroad into their bank by Credit Card, or does anyone know other ways around it?

Thanks
Neil

We use Rusche Intl for our money (big) transfers. I think you'll get hit with massive charges if doing via credit card & I'm not sure if cash transactions can be cancelled anyway.

Neil,
How about credit card cheques? eg; Barclaycard cheques? now, there will be a bit of a conversion rate charge associated with it, but AFAIK, using a BC cheque would provide the same level of security as using the card itself, or at least I think it will. I'm sure I paid for my card using a BC cheque for this exact reason.

you'll not be able to use a cc cheque for a foreign payment. I've done this a few times for holidays myself just using a direct transfer with no problem but I know why you're nervous.....
