For those of you who want to know more......

Well done Iwan, excellent choice.

Thats one BIG watch, yet surprisingly light, short sleeve shirts for you for the next few weeks.

Iwan: " Anyone want to know what time it is ? ".....

I'll wear a jumper and make everyone wonder what the huge wrist bulge is

The guys at work won't be impressed, they're quite happy with their fake Rolex's from China

You will get all that...

" Why pay so much for a watch when you can have one of these, no one knows its fake."

They just wont get it.

Ask them if they fancy a trip to the gym, followed by a swim and a sauna.

All watches in the lockers.....

Except yours.

By the way, did you get any free bees, Cap / 'T' shirt / Jacket / what not ?

Yup, and if i drop it in the sea it'll still work after being recovered by ROV.

No freebies (yet) sadly, though i did manage to negotiate 15% off and a carrier bag to take the box home in. Cool box BTW, made out of Bakelite!

I got it from "Watches of Switzerland" in Cardiff, if you're paying cash (or debit card) they _can_ be persuaded to do a deal rather than lose the sale.

So I got 15% off the £1780.00 RRP, if you don't ask you don't get.

I could have got it slightly cheaper from www.blitzwatches.co.uk, but it's nice to buy from a real shop and speak to real people who let you try different models on then can adjust the size of the one you choose while you wait.

I've had a Seawolf for nearly a year now (replaced my old SuperQuartz B-1) and I still love it to bits! I got mine from the Bath Goldsmiths and negotiated 15% off too.

There are some piccies of both, here:

Lovely watch by the way mate - I know you're going to love it. If you're not used to wearing large watches, you'll notice it on your wrist for a while but after a week or two, you won't even notice it's there.

Enjoy it!

Defo good advice.
Much better to buy it from an authorised dealer and try it on first. They can also set the time for you, sometimes this is harder than you first imagine.

No chance of Iwan replying to this during the day, as he has turned over a new leaf at work and will not be viewing Scoobynet during this time.

- I give it a week

Excellent taste, I have a genuine G-Shock too. It's been diving with me on 80+ occasions - blinding bit of kit.

If anyone asks why it cost so much money, simply ask them to hold their watch at arms length. Then use your Seawolf 'conkers style' to smash their watch into oblivion

Job done

not sure about this thread.

a classy watch is a little less classy when you showcase it like this.

shall i post a picture of my wad of cash?

i bought my wife an eternity ring recently, i cant think of anyway to cheapen a £5k bit of metal and glass better than slapping it on the net.

its as bad as people that post pics of their bloody babies on here!

So why did you feel the need to point out how much you paid for it?
Live and let live I say - if you work hard for something and are proud of it and if you feel that other people would like to see it, what's the problem?
