emergency wills....
I'm flying at 3pm tommorrow, I don't have a will.
what would happen to all my stuff & money, will it automatically be left to her indoors?
what if we both go?
I'm 33, with a live in GF of 10 yrs, and a daughter of 13 that lives with her mum elsewhere.
1 mum, 1 dad, 1 brother.
any ideas what would go where?
You might guess, I don't like flying

Well your torso would probably be found intact and the forensics guys would try and put it all back together with the other smaller bits they find.....
Sorry couldnt resist. Flying is ok, its the crashing I dont care much for.

The number of planes landing/taking off at all the airports across the world is staggering. Don't quote me but I'm sure at any given moment there are 30'000 flights throughout the world. Bearing in mind the last incident was donkeys years ago I'd say you should write your will before driving!!
Flying is one thing only - boring, unless you're a bit of a Chav like me and go on business class. lol.

You won't feel a thing. If you explode into a fireball you'll be vapourised by the pressure difference, if you go into a steep dive, they'll get you high on pure oxygen before you crash. Hope this helps.

thanks rev, honestly that has cheered me up no end, my biggest fear is being strapped to chair, knowing I'm going to die, and not having any say over who gets my toys

IIRC, the statistic I usually quote to people is the following one.
You'd have to fly EVERY day for over 2500 years before being involved in an air incident of any kind.
Also, how many flights in the UK take off every day? Hundreds & hundreds. When did you last have a big passenger jet in a crash in the UK? 1988 IRRC. 16 years ago x many hundreds of flights/day....
Sit back, relax, and you'll be fine.

The fear comes from one main thing. A lack of control/influence on events.
I suspect you'd not think twice about going on a north sea ferry, yet if it sank in the middle of the North Sea, you're as much at risk.
However, you perceive it to be "safer" as you rate your chances in the freezing North Sea more so than in a plane. Without a liferaft, you'd survive about 20 minutes in the middle of the North Sea.
Same with trains. It seems safer in a crash as you're on solid ground. Clapham, etc should tell you otherwise
Cars are by FAR the unsafest form of transport in the car/train/boat/plane choice. So why haven't you done a will for when you are driving up until now??????

cheers dazza01, ( IQ? )
I was on a plane to malta when I was about 10 that had an engine catch fire 20 minutes into the air, everyone in the head between your knees " get ready to crash" position, fire engines and foam for the landing etc, not funny, think brown.

Not a criticism. Just trying to make you see the logic of it

If you have been married to your daughters mother, she will get the first 125k. All your kids will get the next 125k. Gordon brown will get 40% of the rest. If your GF gets a penny she will be lucky
