anyone watch the Everest program last night........very interesting.

The guy who backed out was obviously not in a position to move forward be it physical or mental, but one of the other guy's was intent on giving him a load of stick.
People die up on the mountain.. a lot of them, if your not happy then what’s the point of going on and possibly facing either your own demise or causing the death of others around you.
Thought he was very brave to pull out showed a lot of bottle in that respect.

As a side the others didn't make it to the summit anyway!!

I think it was because he kept banging on (repeatedly) that he wasnt physically up to it when the problem was that he wasnt mentally up for it. Climbing mountains like Everest is something you live (and die) for and doesnt lend its self well to stupid TV 'challenges'.

One more thing, they should have made him watch Touching the Void first, that would have saved him a lot of grief
