I did a crane course at work today
Did it 2years ago but this is like a refresher.
The instructor told us that whilst we are operating the crane if someone is injured or worse stills dies from an accident caused by the crane driver, then the operator can face a fine of upto £5000 and 6 months imprisonment as apparently its classed as a criminal act!
Then if you are a banksman (to give you instructions to a crane operator using the crane) and again theres an accident, the operator will say "whilst under the supervision of the banksman..."
So if your using the the crane you have all this in the back of your mind lol!!!!

I just had a crane lift two embroidery machines out of my shop. The best quote that I got for the job was £1200+ vat The high price was because I needed some sort of survey/report, a banksman, driver, slingsman....
In the end I found a scouser who did it for £300 cash all in. It took him half an hour to arrive, lift and bugger off.
