Smells...
Smell is the most evocative of our senses (I find anyway), what triggers memories for you ?, for instance what aftershave or perfume brings back memories, also aftershaves and perfumes are very regular smells and easy to identify.
Obsession = My wife when we first met
Drakkar Noir = winning a Golf GTI in the dailly Mirror, bought some with the
proceeds (amongst other things)
New West = Lads Holiday to Greece
Posion = the lady in the offy who never objected to serving under age drinkers, Freda we salute you !, your perfume was horrid and made us feel queasy though.
Old Spice = My Grandad
Brut 33 = Reminds me of falling in a pond, getting our clothes dried at the launderette (remember those !) and they trying to mask the smell to no avail.
Lynx Africa, another lads holiday, used it to torch a cockroach with a lighter, held it steady for 30 secs and the bugger still scuttled off, hot but smelling better.

LOL at the cockroach bit.
An older woman at work wears a strong perfume that I'd never smelt since being a young child. Don't know what it is but she must use a bottle a day. Daren't smoke too close to her for fear of igniting her blouse!

A duster my mum gave me when I last visited home a few months ago. I used it today and could smell 'home' on it and it made me feel a little sad. So I called my mum to make me feel better and she told me off for interupting her dinner

Flat roof bitumen stuff - reminds me of my old juior school
Jazz aftershave reminds me of my younger teenage days
There are certain perfumes that remind me of certain ladies but I have no idea what they are called - but sometimes you get a whiff at work and just feel the need to crack one off (jk)

Clementines - always remind me of Christmas
Cigars - reminds me of my Dad who'd have 1 Tom Thumb cigar after Christmas dinner. He never smoked anything anywhen else. And infact the pack of 5 cigars he bought many moons ago, still have 3 in them...and he hasn't smoked 1 since they moved house 12 years ago!
Diesel - again, reminds me of long lorry trips with my Dad.
Opium (the perfume) - my mum going out when we were small. That would be her perfume of choice.

It may help.
I know it helped me when I first emigrated to New Zealand.

My dads wardrobe - A complex mixture of shoe leather , tobacco , old suits.
My dads breath after he had his Sunday lunch time drink -I loved it
The smell eminating from my leg plaster.
The lingering intimate female scent when first encountered.
The groynes at low tide at Bournemouth -Dont think the tide goes out that far now?
Fishermans Walk Bournemouth .
The lavatories before the cliff lift at Bournemouth.
My wardrobe - My first girlfriend wore Mitsuka -My wardrobe did also!
Sunday Dinner after coming back from the pub
Funny all the above are over 40 years ago
