Looking for advice, but I don't want to go to the DVLA (in case they have screwed up). As above I am currently banned until 28th Dec 04, but i recently reveived a couple of forms from the DVLA regarding my licence, I filled them out and sent them off, they came back with a note saying that unless I enclosed the £75 admin fee my licence would not be returned. I sent them off again along with a cheque. Does this mean when I get my licence back i can start driving again ?

if you are banned by the court then it doesn't matter if you have a licence in your hand you are still banned, even if they have screwed up. If you drive while under a ban then you can expect a heavy penalty if caught. They will not accept ignorance or stupidity as an excuse e.g. I got my licence back so thought it was OK to Drive.

Although I hate to admit it walking the kiddies to school is not as bad as i had imagined (in fact it's quite a nice walk)
Sitting on a train into London is most certainly preferable to sittin on the A40 smoking myself stupid screaming at the bloke in front of me
Saved enough money for a respray and all sorts of goodies

I intend on continuing walking to school and to the shops even when ban finally over

tbh for a while in the beginning I was soooooo p!ssed off, but that was short lived....no point being that way, was nothing else for it but to grin and bear it....now i am not bothered at all, life goes on, just 'going on' on foot atm
