quick question
How much does Blair earn as PM ?
How much does Bush earn as President ?
Not a leading question, just round a friends last night and saw on news that Blair is buying a £3.6million London house and we got onto the issue of salaries. My friend couldn't believe that Blair was 'only' on about £180,000 which is a guess considering I know it was £163,000 3 years ago. I'm also pretty sure the President gets $400,000 dollars a year as this was increased during Clinton's reign.
I know he can expect memoir royalties, after dinner speaking etc in the future but £3.6million is quite a major outlay - even with a scummy lawyer for a wife.

i would guess those figures are close enough (obviously bush has huge other incomes that blair doesnt) but his wife must earn a fair bit, £200k ish.....they could easily have £350-400k joint i would have thought......makes that house easy enough.
