Watching now, very gritty and as usual Gary Oldman plays a psycho lol. Obviously made with no budget which is probably a good thing as it looks more real.
Only seen three Alan Clarke films but he obviously liked his violence!!

Great film, have it around the house somewhere.
Especially love seeing Jim McDonald (Coronation Street) giving out some beatings and shouting "Well out of Order" in every other sentence

Steve Mc Fadden (sp). Bet he cringes when he see's it. Got it on dvd, great film. State of grace, as mentioned, fantastic film (with Ed Harris also). Must see if this is on dvd as well.

The Firm was released on DVD ??? Didn't know that - must get a copy - was one of the best films I watched when I was a lad. Ditto State of Grace, great movie, I could even find myself appreciating Sean Penn in that one

very gritty portrayal of hooliganism and oldman is superb in the role. Plenty of faces altough unknown at the time went on to bigger (and better?) things.

Great film. Didn't know it was available on DVD, must add it to the list of future investments
Shame the Hollywood remake with Tom Cruise was no where near as good

Some great one liners in the film from Oldman.
To Birmingham firm "You need an A to Z to find the bog"
Absolute classic film.
ID is alright, but Football Factory better.

Fantastic film. As soon as I saw it on DVD in the shops I snapped it up straight away
I like the bit where they are squaring up to each other in the Tower Thistle, two of them start bickering and the third bloke comes up with the classic:
"Do you two slags want to just shut it?"
astraboy.
