Blunkett on BBC news this morning
And i quote "we've tackled burglary and car crime". 
So, presumably by "tackle" he means "done very little about"?
Then he was asked "what have you done to address the recent security breaches at Westminster, Buckingham Palace and at the Labour Conference?".
His reply "oh those areas of responsibility aren't under my control"
He went on to say "besides, protesters at the labour conference are nothing new - i've seen protests here before".
