Trouble getting car finance
Can anyone recommend some good finance brokers?
I can't seem to get anyone to finance a new car for me, credit report is clean, have provable income and bank statements etc. I have credit cards etc and the bizarre thing is I already had a car on finance for the last 2 years. Not a home owner though
Came to UK 4 years ago but have only been on electoral role since last year so I think they are refusing because of this.
I'm trying to buy a 24,000 car with a 12,000 deposit and they are still not interested!!!

could be thatthere is a CCJ registered agianst your address. I had this problem a few years ago - I wasn't aware of the CCJ until I kept getting refused for credit. Eventually I got it sorted out but it took a while.

Hello
Ask for your credit report from experion and equifax. As above they may be something lodged against your address such as a CCJ or someone who was living there previously had bad debt.
Steve.

That's the problem, no CJ's or adverse credit reports, have checked it is spotlesss. Problem is I don't have more than 3 years history, that is why I need a broker.
Any mainstream lender will just process it with a computer or a call centre monkey, so if you don't meet their criteria it just gets automatically declined with no chance to appeal/explain.

i was once turned down for a purchase, with a lender i had an open acc with.
i phoned on there help line, and discussed the concern with the operator.
she promptly overturned the decision, and told me to go back to the shop and
get them to reapply using the same acc details, as it was now clear.
it might be worth a try

Id suggest that you have a low dcm score because of searches against your name. how many applications have you made in the last 6 months?
also you have to consider that maybe your asking for too much? a lot of lenders lend under the responsible lender umbrella nowadays and simply wont lend if they believe its not in your interest.
