Default Courier for heavy parcel (100kg)

Anyone recommend a cheap'ish courier that's willing to pickup and deliver a heavy parcel (100kg)?

It's a widescreen TV that I need to return, but TNT wanted £300 and some have stupidly low weight limits (<25kg)

Stefan

Hello

If you are returning it to a mail-order place, they normally arrange their own couriers (even if you have to pay)? Failing that it's probably just a case of looking around for a local delivery company.

Put it in your car and ring the AA. Tell them where your car needs to be taken to for repairs and I bet it's really near to the televisions destination.

Failing that, try DHL or anybody for that matter. I regularly send 23kg items for £23 so £300 for 100kg is having a bit of a Steffi.

OK, I'll try the mail-order company first.

I'm waiting on postvan.com getting back to me with a price. TNT are always stupid for prices. God knows why anyone uses them

try 01484 666 777 ask for your local depot
or 01484 660 687 again ask for your local depot.

Very cheap and a very fast service.

DO NOT go through Parcel Farce!

The *******'s have 'lost' my new £1.5k mountain bike which was due for delivery on Saturday and are currently trying to find it.

@ andym172

I've contacted the mail-order company and waiting on them getting back to me with a price. Would save me a lot of hassle if they'll just come and collect it.

LOL you'd think so.

It's a 32" Sony. The box has 75kg written on the side and the stand is an additional 20kg

Mail order place has agreed to come and collect it for £45. They're even coming on Saturday so I don't have to take a day off work waiting for them.
