Default 36" CRT for £998?

Just seen a Toshiba 36ZP38B CRT TV 36", 100Hz, Flatscreen for £998!

Seems like an absolute steal - is it??

Lounge is about 35' x 25' ..... its got the Dolby Speakers around the walls - maybe you're right, 36" could be a bit small.

Plasma and LCD - I just can't keep up with the movement on them, they make me queezy!

Nothing beats CRT £ for £ - not yet anyway!

You can go and annoy (I mean educate ) the users on the AV Forums

Should be able to find some reviews on the Tosh over there. Does sound like a bargain.

Plus some of us will get some piece and quiet on here

Saw this in my local Comet store. Didn't look like £1600 worth of TV. Don't get me wrong, picture was excellent but I just didn't like the design and the buttons under the front panel looked very cheap & tacky.

I so wanted the 32" version after hearing great things about it

A very good TV by all accounts and I think that's a good price.

Spend it on a nice DSLR instead, or have you still not made your mind up yet?

I have one of these TV's - had it from January - I am very pleased with it, and FWIW I paid £1,299 for it from Robertsons Online.

I have also seen them cheaper than £998 but how reputable the dealers are I couldnt say.

And its true that when I see most 28" TV's they look really small!!
