Default Embarrasing Problem

I've got a strange lump but am too embarrased to go to the Doc cause it's a bloke.
Last week i discovered a lump up the hoop (don't laugh) - it's not piles or a cling on but definately a lump about the size of a 5p

erm anyone else dare to admit to knowing what it could be?

Get to to the docs immediatly

even if its nothing, its worth checking out

not to scare you into going, but I had a lump, didnt want to go the docs, I went, turned out to be Cancer, and got it twice, returned again after 2 years

had all the chemo etc, Doc told me if I had left it, I would have died a horrible & painful death

stating the obvious.....but your doc will have seen worse/better/etc and act no differently than if you went with a lump on your finger!

Sonic - was yours in the same place (up there) or on the outside?

would go if it was a female Doc but when i saw this guy a few years ago he was a complete tw*t - he sat back in his chair smiling as i shrunk in my seat describing another problem, he then said i'd have to go to the GUM clinic, why couldn't he just say this in the first place? (ok i had clap - bloody Barnsley lasses :-) )

you had the clap on your gums

Seriously - go to the doctor - Will it be more embarrasing to have him check it out now, or have 23 students look up your jaxie in 6 months after they tear you a spare hole to get the lump out?

GO TO THE DOCS!

you can always ask to see a female doctor. Twice I found little lumps, scared the **** out of me, I was a real ******* to everyone for a couple of weeks and it turned out to be nowt.

Most docs have seen much worse things than that. Whats worse to you, alittle embarassment or death?

It might be a sebaceous cyst, look here:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/000842.htm

or from the same page,

http://www.ecureme.com/emyhealth/data/Anal_Abscess.asp

I had some lumps come up on my neck a while back, a quick internet search diagnosed them as Hodgkinson's disease-or in other words, don't order a christmas tree. A visit to the docs next day proved it to be cyst, gone in a week with antibiotics.

Go to the doctors ASAP, what with all the lazy good for nothings/freeloaders in this country, they see arseholes all day long, yours won't bother them

hope it gets sorted, ( maybe a bad choice of icon given the circumstances, but you get my drift )

DO NOT SEARCH THE NET FOR CURES!

everything you could possibly have can be linked to death if you read up about it on the net!

Yep - As per MJ - I've had CJD at least three times. Also had two brain tumours before I realised that the blurry vision and headaches could be blamed on my monitor being out of focus

Nope mine wasnt there, ended up in my Lymph nodes in the end

But you really need to go see a doc, i have spent most of tonight discussing my treatment etc, and the whole process I went through

A family member went to the docs to have a lump in his neck checked out (again, wasnt going to bother going etc etc) he goes to get his results in the morning

Class!! You are either a numptie, or having a great wind up.

If it's the former - don't wait. If the latter.... what can I say?

Found a lump about 2 years ago now.
The moment I found it I was down the doctors to be checked out.
Was a female doctor but I just didn't care.
She sent me straight away for a scan & tests that revealed it was just a harmless cyst.
It was without doubt the most frightening time of my life....all sorts of things go through your head before you know the results.

Golden rule here is get it seen NOW. Even cancer can be treated & cured but only if it is caught EARLY.

Cool

I had a lump, went to the docs, then to a proctologist (that was uncomfortable, let me tell you ) and it was cyst. Had to have it cut out and then left open, packed each day by a nurse!!!!!!.

But, if I had not, it would have been ALOT worse. Stop being foolish and get to the docs. Your health is more important than you pride or embarrassment.

just to echo what everyone else is saying GO TO THE DOCTORS ASAP!

Without going into too much detail I was getting cysts come and go at the top of my **** for over a year, I just put up with it as was too embarrased to get it seen. Turns out I had Pilonidal Disease and 1 year & 2 operations later I'm still not better.

I may not have had as much trouble if I'd got treatment sooner.
