Just got back from Nice.....
And what can i say, so glad to be home... No, really.!!!
Ok the Weather is splendid, The Sea is deep blue, the chicks are hot, if a little hairy, but the people there are so rude and up their own 4rses its unbelievable.
Beer is ludicrously expensive, which being my favorite hobby was a let down.
I wasn't even due home until Monday, but stumped up another £100 to get a flight back Friday night it was so cr4p.
maybe other people have differing views, but i wont be going back there.
(Not until i have a yacht in Monaco that is )
might post up a sunny picture once i can be ar5ed to download them.
gotta go... the cheap UK pubs are calling me...
Au revoir.

I found Nice very nice. People were fine as well.
There are some beautiful places along the coast there to visit.
Plenty of good food as well.
Drinks are pricey but very cheap in supermarket as has always been the case in France.
A real saddo if youve come back to the UK just for the pub.
Chip.

If you go during happy hour to the Oxford or Van Gogh pubs, the beer will be very cheap. I cant believe you flew all the way to Nice, paid for a hotel and all you were interested in is to get cheap beer!?
Other than that, what a dump, but hey, we told you! LOL

I've just got back from the South of France (just along the coast from Pepignan) and really enjoyed it.
I must say, I found the french to be very friendly and they seem to appreciate attempts to speak french no matter how poorly (try speaking spanish to a spaniard and they look at you as if you've just **** a squirrel).
I even learned the french for "your driveshaft is knackered"

Missed my wife and little boy too and would sooner spend the weekend with them then in some jumped up yuppie resort, with strangers.
just my view, france probably caught me at a bad time, and on reflection, with the right company and a lot of cash in the back pocket, a good time could be had. but you can say that about any place really.
Personally my best holiday was a week on the Norfolk Broads, with my mates when i was about 21. (15 years ago) but then again, i'm not struck by volcanos, skilifts, sand, pyramids, space centers, statues, or cathedrals, just good company and some laughs...
cheers BB
