Movies that have disturbed you? (Irreversible)?
Watched 'Irreversible' a couple of nights ago.:
Jeez, that's one HARSH movie. Haven't watched a movie that has ever made me feel that uncomfortable. To it's credit it portays the two most violent scenes (subway and club) in a shockingly realistic way that hollywood could, and would never approach. Can't say I'll be watching it again (I know it's only a movie, but still......).
Anyone seen it or other movies that have truly disturbed you??

Don't think I'd ever be disturbed by a movie since you know it's not actually real.
What I find more and more disturbing is real-life footage. Not looking forward to catching the news with the attrocities at the Russian school today

Not the full film but the scene in Texas Chainsaw Massacre where he puts the girl on the meat hook unnerved me. Apart from that all the other slashing didnt bother me

I've only just discovered IMDB - what a site!
UB - agree with what Matt says, besides someone just lent me the movie to see what I thought of it.

Only Three
The Cell (jennifer lopez in it)
Clockwork orange i turned off as it was completely f*cked up and disturbing.
The Hole was also mildly disturbing when i saw it at the cinema. When i saw it on the tv recently (heavily cut i might add) it didnt seem nearly as bad as when i originally saw it

Why did A Clockwork Orange disturb you? Was this back in 1973 when the films contents were still fresh or a recent viewing?
I saw it back in 1999 when it was rereleased and after reading the book i was pretty disapointed.

The Swarm, which I saw when very young (10). Have a phobia about bees and wasps now.
I saw Irreversible, up to the first scene in the club, until my gf switched it off and took it back to rental place to complain.

Diamonds are Forever... (or one of the others - can't be 100%)
Sounds daft but the bit where Bond's in the coffin and the flames light up as he goes down the rollers into the crematorium oven...
Saw it as a kid in the ITV 7-45pm Saturday night slot and I'd recently been to an Aunt's funeral and put 2 and 2 together...
It would probably still make me shiver now...

Drumstrphill....I just have.
After reading some of the comments i'm not sure i want to watch it.A lot compare it to passion of christ saying if passion is a 6/10 then irreversible is 10/10 for unwatchablity.
Passion i had to fast forward bit cos i couldnt take any more.

The only one that did it for me was the original black and white Invasion of the Bodysnatchers. I think I was about 8 or 9, but I had this whole complex about going to sleep and a pod being behind my bedroom door or at the end of the bed. The thing that really gave me a headfcuk was this....
how would I know if I had been taken over by a pod version of me? Would I still think as me or not and/or know I'd been taken over? Gives an 8 or 9 year old sleepless nights
