Question FAO people with ponds

I have a couple of mates with fish / pet stores who are getting back to me on this too but would like some end user info too.
At work we are looking to clear the water in the pond we have. I am basically looking for recomendations for filter systems / pumps / UV filters ect.
I hope to be getting keen prices from the people I know however a few sites for price guides would be appreciated.

Cheers

Paul

oasis vortec is a decent filter system, oase aquamax are decent pumps and oase bitron is a pretty nice uv clarifier. Oase stuff seems cheapest from seapets round here!

filter to run that ould be around £800-1500, and a pump would be £400, and a clarifier would be expensive too (mine is a 1000gall, and the clarifier was £160).

You would probably be better off with cloverleaf filter.

Agree Aquamax are decent reliable submersibles although they do get clogged up if you get too much algae (fairly easy to clean though). Beware Oase's latest Biotech range as I had no end of problems and ended up sending one back. Now have an old fashioned type filter from Kockney Koi. See range at http://www.kockneykoi.co.uk/

I suffer from excess blanket weed (sunny site and heavy fish load) but found a good, if expensive, bit of kit which seems to work. PM me if interested. DL
