Whats a company car worth?
Hi peeps,
Just wondering and hoping someone may be able to shed a bit of light on this for me. It seems that every pleb round here is getting a company car. I have my appraisel/pay rise argument soon. Im wondering, what is a company car worth, cause I would take a car instead of payrise. What does it eqate to montly ?
Ie I'd like to get a newer scooby but dont want to extend the finances any more in these uncertain times. What would it cost approx for a 4 year lease on a WRX ?

Just a quick question. What is finance lease ? In idiots terms ? Found a 2004 WRX for £280 for finance lease and £290 for Contract Hire ?
I would like to have the option to buy in then end with a balloon payment

Scooby Regular
At the place I'm joining in a few weeks time, I've been offered an A3/A4/Golf GTi as a company car or an allowance of £250pm + 39ppm (after 10K 9ppm), and so far the allowance is winning. The tax on the company car is £70-£100 pm, whereas the allowance + mileage allows me to be slightly better off. Obviously with paying that, I have to maintain a reasonable car. ie, it's taking the p if I run around in an old crappy Sierra.
The idea of an expenses paid (excepting private mileage of 10ppm) brand new VW-Audi is nice, but reality must dictate. Although my Astra ain't too bad as it's a 2.2
