Any reason for being that specific or are you just looking for a people carrier style thing?

most ford hire places will do a galaxy. i hired a 2.3 auto a while back. was actually not a bad drive, if a little on the thirsty side.

"need a 7-seater "

more room in my 2.8 V6 glaxaxy with leather captains chairs all round than an X5.....in fact i sold a 540 to get it for the extra space!

Anything in a premium class like an X5 or similar is going to have quite a premium in hiring cost than a Galaxy/Sharan/Zafira.

Budget rent a car do Voyagers but I wouldn't bother.

Even the Kia Sedona is a better bet for a long drive with 7 people.

We use budget rent a car often, and we have told them not to send anymore Voyagers as everyone hates them. Slow noisy diesel, poor aircon, poor ride and uncomfortable seats.
You would be far better off with a Galaxy type MPV

Cheers
Lee
