Default Mosquito spray

Can anyone recommend a decent anti-mosquito spray for a Greek Island holiday? (Preferably one which doesn't make you smell like you've just been dunked in a septic tank)

I always leave one of those little machines with a tablet in running in my hotel room before going out for the evening which seems to do a decent job.

And, if you do get bitten, what's the best treatment?

Depends what (or who) you get bitten by

anything that contains DEET (IIRC) is pretty good (but not necessarily sweet smelling)

Alternately cultivate lots of body hair...I knly need to worry aboutbacks of knees, feet, wrists/forearms, and face!!

The only stuff the seems to work for me is Mosquito Milk. Rub it on and you shouldn't get bitten. Can't remember it smelling that bad.

get one with 50% DEET does not smell too bad and the 100% stuff evaporates too quickly.

A word of warning to the girls (and the odd bloke on here ), Tesco's own pump action Insect repellent Spray takes your nail polish off, Autan seems to be ok although I've tried to keep it away from my nails after a bitter experience with the Tesco's version just after a new manicure

Boots roll on stuff.

Non smelly - a bit sticky though, so take some wipes.

Lakes and forests in Finlands during the summer, and zero bites......I'd call that a result!

But not too good when you playfully nibble on the neck of someone who's just applied the damn stuff
