Women in your office - a bunch of whingers?
The team that I work for consists of 10 people split evenly between male/female.
All the women in our team seem to have some sort of medical condition that means that the men have to listen to a constant discussion between the 5 about their latest medical predicament, dealings with the health profession and the latest medication or treatment that they are having. This goes on EVERY day!
There seems to be some sort of contest to see who is the most ill or has the strongest medication etc!
Is anybody else's office like this?
I've always been led to believe by women that men are the really whingers when it comes to being ill but perhap I inhabit a parallel universe where the reverse is so. Funny, as two of the guys have been through various knee operations (i'm having my third soon) and one guy has a serious bowl condition - yet none of us moan or whinge at all.
I've offered to put them out of their misery but none have taken up the offer - yet. Whinge much longer and the choice may be made for them!

yup, only 2 gals in this office and they are both Ill, 1 of the women goes tot he doc's EVERY week, no lie. its a complete joke. Im sure the doctor must get sick of seeing her.

Don't give them internet access!!!
I've seen the same thing but if you give them internet access they start looking new diseases up so they can have something more interesting and exciting to talk about every day. We had one woman who was laying down the law to the doctor about the range of dangerous diseases she had and was most annoyed that the doctor thought there was nothing wrong with her. I mean, half the things she'd found on the internet had only been seen twice in living memory or were contracted from sex with polar bears or something.
Every time they get a sore finger the internet tells them some strange African parasite is living in it and that they will die a horrible and painful death. So far none of the particular women I've had in mind have died in all the time I've known them but it's not for want of trying, or enthusiasm for the task, on their part.
In saying all this I know a bloke who carefully reads the little bit of paper that comes with any medication he is on and he then, equally carefully, develops each and every side effect on the list. He will not drive because one long term tablet he is on has the standard "do not drive or operate machinery" disclaimer on it!! Because of this he can't go out and so he sits home and watches TV. To be honest it would be a sweet relief for him if some strange African parasite did kill him.

Too right about hot offices! One of my customers is a pottery firm and their offices are above their kilns.
Middle of summer (I use the word "summer" loosely this year though!) and it's like a oven. Just sitting still makes you sweat. Any requests to turn up the AC get shouted down

Darcoro, Wouldnt dare, she'd know I was talking about her and probably have my eyes out, shes the type who has 3rd of the year off ill and if u have a day off shes the first to make a comment to the boss about how much time youve had off or youve got back from lunch 10 minutes late

Just do it...... if they're cold it's easier to put clothes on than take them off. Would they like it for you to be sat there with your man ***** hanging out?

Perhaps it's a genetic trait?
The whingers even openly ask for sympathy in my office! I just get the air-violin out and play them a mournful tune.

We have a pair of whingers as well, one of them looks like Gordon Strachan and the other looks like the big hairy oafs that used to chase the Fraggles
Gordon is relalitively (sp?) quiet today as the Fraggle catcher is off sick (funnily enough)
Gordon did try to spark up a conversation as to why the Fraggle catcher was off and what may be wrong with her, but this was obviousley a ploy to lay the old "I think there's a bug going about" foundations down so she can take Monday off as she would conviniently catch the same "bug"
I hastily interviened and changed the subject to football (not Gordon's favourite subject
) as I intend to use that excuse.
