Look for your local dentmaster, chips away etc. It should only cost you 60 quid. The hire car company will notice

I let my friend (who can't drive) drive my courtesy car on a gravel carpark. He got carried away and the whole of each side was pitted with chips, as were the wheel trims. The car had less than 1000 miles on the clock!!! No-one noticed though

If it's definately not dented just buy some clear lacquer (which normally comes with any touch up kit) & touch it in, using as small amount as possible, it should then just look like a dirty mark that they wont spot.

Chris.

I like that idea as it sounds cheap.
Had a puncher yesterday in the works carpark. just repaired it. Stupid people marked the tyres so they know its theirs. but it was the cheapest option

Ray, I should have told you a few weeks ago to stay away from jags.

I am in a courtesy car at the moment thanks to a jag.

Just to add that clear nail varnish may be another alternative if you can't get a touch up kit. I dare you to buy it yourself.

In the end it is down to your conscience and personal honesty.

Can I just ask.....

If you know it was a Jag, haven't you got the reg. number if you saw it happening?

If the damage is going to prove costly, then I'd be pursuing the Jag owner, personally.

If the area in which the incident occurred was covered by CCTV, then I'd also report it to the police, so that they can seize the tapes to get the reg. number of the offending vehicle.

Ray,
It's very refreshing to hear of someone who cares about other peoples property, your honesty is to be commended.

If it's any consolation, when my car was in for service the dealer wasn't worried about a ding it picked whilst parked in their car park. I shouldn’t think your dealer would be too worried.

Im worried cuz they will take it out my excess which is £500 I dont give a **** about their car.
Dont see a problem with buying nail varnish. you should see what Im wearing now.
Its got to look good.
Is there anything else apart from a touch up kit? If i cant find anything easy to use i'll setle for that. How about some kind of wax that covers things up like this but in silver?
