I, Robot.
Saw this at the Cinema last night. Cracking film, could have been a bit better, you will need to suspend reality for a bit, but most enjoyable. The film seemed like 30mins.
Good story, good acting and well filmed.

I saw this on Friday - the effects are mind bogglingly good, very impressed. I could have gone straight back in and watched it again. Definateley one for the DVD collection.

Hello
Mmmm. Well, the title is certainly the same, but this reviewer kind of got it right about the rest of the links. http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=i_robot
Along with a picture that aptly describes the link between the two:

I love those links. I must say I did notice the huge brand plugs.
I still enjoyed the film though.
Seriously though, how many films out there based on books truefuly stick to the text? Not many is my guess. A shame.

Haven't seen it but it looks completely predictable and, lets face it, Will Smith isn't liekly to appear in a film where he loses is he? Special Effects look cool but that's not really enough these days is it? Also, Asimov may have been there first but the bottom line is I-Robot is only coming out now & we have seen the story before regardless of which came first. Need to see it right enough but can't say I'm that enthused...

it is mostly predictable, apart from a couple of moments where they avoided the obvious cliches.
There are also some terrible hands on heads moments (eg the car spinning in the chase scene).
But overall pretty enjoyable hokum

"vintage 2004", way too obvious and a real sell out. The film was OK but the product placement was too forceful.

"Sounds like cr*p to me. Think I'll stick with a genuine adaption like Shawshank Redemption or The Green Mile."
sticking close to the book is no sure winner. the films the film and the books the book........they stand and fall alone.
