Default Mobile Phone Question

I'm due an upgrade on my mobile.

I've looked at the possible phones I can have, and there are 2 I like the look of, the Samsung E700 and the Sony Ericsson K700i.

A lad at work had a Samsung E700 about 6 months ago and it looked a decent phone, but I know nothing of the S/E K700i.

I have a S/E T610 at the minute. I've not been happy at times with the 610, only because when texting it sometimes put 2 of the same character up when a key was pressed (but that could be the way I was pressing the keys I suppose), but I'm willing to give S/E another go.

The uses for the new one will be a few calls, plenty texts, the odd game when I'm bored, and I've got loads of ringtones on my computer so bluetooth or similar is needed. The odd photo might also be necessary.

Any views for or against either phone??

Thanks,

Andy.

Very good camera to boot

I've just been looking at them on the S?/E website. Look a good phone.

Can you use midi ringtones on them Richie?? I was looking at the features and comparing the 700i with some other S/E phone, and where polyphonic tones was mentioned the other phone had yes next to it, but the 700i had a dash (i.e. no). Then further down the 700i had yes where it said polyphonic 40. I don't understand the difference between polyphonic and polyphonic 40.

If it can use midi tunes, I'll probably go for the 700i.

Just ignore me, had a look on the alpha site, and polyphonic is ticked.

The 40 must just be some flashy bit added on to sound good.

Once you`ve heard an Mp3 ringtone on the K700 you wont want to use midi again
and you can get about 40 songs in Mp3 format on it.
