Default Marriage courses

Our local parish insists that you attend a marriage course if you want to get hitched. Has anyone successfully negotiated their way out of this.

Colleague at work is asking.

LOL

Yes mate i got out of this as i'm a C of E (we like to burn Catholics) My missus however is a Catholic and i found out before hand that none Catholics get a shorter ceremony and they dont have to go to marriage classes

I went to the last one (IIRC there was around 6 in total) just to meet the vicar / priest thingy and introduce myself

So in answer to your question, if he's a none Catholic he doesn't have to go if he doesn't want to. If he is a Catholic then he must change faith

lol - its a She, and she (like me) is Roman Catholic. However I got married in a C of e church as the wife is a heretic like you. My colleague does n't fancy listening to a priest spouting about the sanctity of marriage when after all he has no experience.
