Angry Shunted this weekend

Driving back from the SuperMarket on Sunday along a 30mph stretch doing about 20 due to the traffic, came to a set of lights and stopped. Suddenly...BANG...woman in a Laguna came tearing into the back of the scoob. Pulled over and had a look not real noticeable damage, I did point out a nice scratch (and also the fact that my pregnant wife was in the car as well, not that she seemed concerned) she had just added only to be told that she was not responsible for that. I explained to her that the bumper was nice and shiny that morning and no scratches were there, also eaplained that there may be damage that cannot be seen.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has an idea of costs and whether if I contact my Insurance Company but end up settling "off the record" whther this affects premiums.

I'd be careful about claiming for very small stuff. Try a quote with somewhere like tesco's for a clear premium, and one with a non-fault accident, it goes up a few % (£200 for me!)!!!

try to pursuade the woman to pay out of her own pocket, painting on a buumper shouldnt cost much more than £200 really. u have tried to open the boot and stuff and it all closes OK? check under the bumper, see if the brackets are still strong and theres no bumper movement, the bumper should come of really easy, just nipto a body shop and see if they'll take a quick look for anything
