Body Waxing?

Body Waxing?
A close 'friend' of mine recently had his girlfriend ask what he thought about having his body waxed...he replyed '
i dont see anything wrong with that'
she replies 'so you would have it done'
he replies 'maybe, but it would cost too much and need to be done frequently'
she replies ' dont worry I'll pay for it to be done regularly'
he replies 'ermmmmm'
STICHED?
Anybody had it done?

Once in a drunken stuper on holiday I decided my legs weren't getting tanned because they were too hairy, So I thought I'd shave them.
2 shaver blades, 3 baths and 2 hours later...
I'm not doing my armpits again either

Had some PMs about this (you shy lot) and the general feeling is that its not that painful and 'only' needs doing every 6-8weeks.
Now how far should one go with this waxing lark? My feeling is that legs and lower arms is going too far?
Apparantly brings out your body definition, which cant be a bad thing.

Wouldn't ever do it again. Not especially painful but not really much point in doing it IMO.

BOB5, if you are a man ( I presume you are) and quite hairy, it will bl@@dy hurt !
I agree that waxing does bring out body definition, but still cant understand why men need to go for something like this. Not being sexist but I reckon men look good with natural hair on their body. If you are like a gorilla, thats another thing.
And, if you missus prefers you shaven, thats another matter too!

Hairy chests/armpits/shoulders/backs/genital areas is out of fashion now surely.....
I know I wouldn't go out with a girl who had all/some of the mentioned!

had some close personal shaves in my earlier years, but I'm not discussing that.
Recently got fed up with having a hairy back so went for a wax for the first time 6 weeks ago; not particularly painful - took about 30 minutes with warm wax followed by a massage.
Very nice.
Having a hairless back gets a bit of getting used to, and it definitely feels colder (won't do it in mid-winter next time); supposed to go back in a couple of weeks for a follow-up.
I read on another website that there needs to be care about ingrowing hair after a wax. What's all that about?

What was the cost roughly?

When you wax, the hairs are ripped out from the root of the follicle, not just "shaved" slightly above the surface of the skin.
When the follicle sprouts hair again, because it is under the skin, it quite often turns inwards, and grows in the wrong direction.
Guys get shaving rash when they shave too closely (a la Mach 3 Turbo etc) and the hair is taken right down to below the surface of the skin.
This is especially common in people with curly hair.
Not an awful lot can be done about it, but it shouldn't be a problem as long as your hair isn't especially curly.

PMSL, seriously it wasn't me coz i wouldn't of had the bottle to even post it
The conversation came about on a night out when i was scatchin my **** (y'know that bloke thing ). He said to me "you seem to have an itchy ring, whats up is it an in growing hair" I looked bemused and said "WTF is one of them". He then graphically explained about his mate who had been off work for months after having it removed and that he was in such pain.
Apparently they have to remove a lump of flesh around a 1" cube and then graft some skin in its place and the success of the operation is not gaurenteed Seemingly this bloke has had it done twice. It conjured up scenes of his ring looking like a seive. I then spent the next few days asking the missus if she would take a look at my ring if i prized my cheeks apart for her to inspect
Sadly she declined as she said she wouldn't get paid to do it

If this geezer's bird wants him smooth, then he should tell her to pay for laser hair removal!!
Gotta be cheaper in the long run (i.e. getting waxed every month for the rest of your life), no ingrowing hairs, no lumps chopped out of your **** and no itching when it grows back!!
Just tell her it's an investment in her future happiness!!

And as for shaving your own chest, if I ever let the razor past my neck-line I'd be forced to kick my own ****!!

Why would any bloke want to wax??
A hairy back yea fair enough..but a hairy chest makes u a REAL man i reckon!
Hair removal cream is the best method of hair removal...much less painfull.

Big lump of flesh removed to get rid of the ingrown folicles (several). To big to be sewn up so regular dressings required. One week in hospital plus several more weeks before I was allowed to do any manual labouring again.
