Lovely decor. NOT!!
What you don't see is the nuclear powerplant in the background and the neighbours with 2 heads!

For some reason, our local paper (in the UK) this week has a house in Kissimmee (nr. Orlando), FL. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, south-facing pool. £122k

You can't buy a 1-bed house round our way for that!

You don't get hurricanes as far inland as Kissimmee

I like this place

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...315631578&rd=1

The only problem is I can imagine some bad *** dudes from NYC taking a speed boat across the lake and coming to visit me in the middle of the night, killing the girlfriend and raping me (or the other way round).

Get a lot over there for your money though.

You can buy plenty of cheap houses and land out in the boonies of the USA. But after a few weeks you'd want to commit suicide living there.

Life in the boondocks with big bubba for your neighbour.

Prices of 'real estate' seem to vary wildly from state to state. California for example is *really* expensive. $700,000 for a two bed apartment. Sound familiar?

California is cheap as chips so long as you don't mind living inland. Coastal California is expensive. Inland it gets too hot, too dusty, too mexican...
