Default Secure investment question

Hi,

I'm in the process of selling my house and moving back to live with the parents until I can source another property in their area.

I will have approx 100k-130k "sitting around" for approx 3-6 months so I was wondering what’s the best thing to do with it? (no I'm not buying a car or giving anyone here a loan :P

High interest bank account, so I've got instant access to place a deposit down?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Jules

Cash deposit has got to be the best option, as

1) No risk
2) Easy access

Anything else, really needs longer than 3-6 months to make it work.

If any of that money wont be used for house purchase, then other things are available for you to have a think about.

Cool. I'm thinking about putting 50-60 aside for deposit then 30-40 for renovation work (looking to do a barn conversion) so I'd have around 10-30 to play with long term.

Thanks
