Hi,
I really need some help on what to get one of my mates.
I am normally fine at buying pressies, but am stumped on this one!
One of the guys i lived with last year at uni is going to america for a year and i want to get him something to take with him.
He's not really into cars or football, and i kinda wanted to get him something he could use while out there.
Any ideas would be a mahusive help!!!!
Oh, and my budget isnt too big either.

He's going there to study at san diego uni, ca for the year, but will get to travel around for 3 months in the summer before he comes back.

Travel guides are very handy! I found local/state 'what to do, where to go, what to see' guides invaluable, along with a road atlas of America (can be bought in Waterstones et. al.) - very good for travelling about, finding one's bearings.

Get him 15 Quarterpounders - 5 litres of cola - 1kg of Ice Cream - 10 x 200g of chocolate - 20 bags of McDonalds Chips

Tell him that he needs to eat all of that in one day, then everyday until he flies out

That way he won't stand out as a tourist!!
