Default how do you like your email name?

trying to have some sort of standard in the way email accounts are created. Which format do you prefer to see on your business cards etc

most of the big companies I deal with use forename.surname@

Only problem is with big companies, there is often more than 1 John.Smith!!

You can got to initials, but after that its numbers, a friend is Chris.Lynn22@... (A very large company in case you hadn't guessed!)

That's how mine is too It keeps it nice and simple then for guessing email addresses of customers if they do the same.

i thought i wouldnt post the bleedin obvious but i shouldve guessed ollyk just had to dive in there...

there the names would be changed round....

i agree totally with the fullname, i just think it looks more professional but the American office seem to be using JBloggs@ on the staff list, totally ignoring the format everyone else in europe has been using...

It has to be firstname.surname unless you are absolutely convinced you'll never grow and hire more employees. I think it looks really mickey mouse to see (for example) john@reallybigcompany.com.

well that was fairly decisive.

tho everyone prefers the fullname, the americans have some poncey system whereby emails goes over there then come back & takes presidency over A.D. so i guess will have to stick with initials. I'll put aliases in there anyway & make sure they use outlook rather then their poncey intranet....

Hope you don't have 3 John Smiths then
i'll tell hr that they cant hire more than 2 john smiths then tw.....
