Imprting head units from the US
A quick (hopefully) question for you guys, im looking at buying a head unit off ebay.
Its coming in from the US, the guy selling it said that he would mark it as gift, which might get it through customs.
If i were to go for it what would i need to look out for, and also what sort of charges would i be stung for?
Thanks in advance

Forget it. The US and Japan use different frequency spacing on both FM and AM. You will be able to receive some but not all broadcasts in the UK / Europe. Do a search others with grey imports have reported problems tuning in stations. The cost of modification if at all possible is likely to loose any savings you may make.
Regarding importing, if not accepted as a gift, then duty probably around 3.5% but can go upto 20% and VAT at 17.5%.
