Default consumer advice....

Ok guys,

Last week went on the web and ordered a dishwasher from sainsbury's for about £400. Got an email confirming my order and telling me I would receive a phone call with 24 hours to arrange delivery. About 1 hour later I receive a call telling me that they are out of stock and wont have any in until August. Having placed the order they have taken the money straight out of my account (via switch). I dont want to wait that long so tell them I'll cancel. No problem they say, we'll cancel your order and the money will be back in your account in 14 days.

I'm like WTF!!! so you've taken immediate payment from me for something you dont have in stock and now expect me to wait 14 days for a refund!!! To say Im fuming is an understatement so should I go after them because perhaps they have broken the sale of goods act or the distance selling act, Im not sure they have just looking for advice!

cheers

Gary
