wife & daughter went to see it several years ago & really rated it.
My daughter painted the Cats' logo on our house postbox and my wife has recently bought the DVD.
Soooooo - it must be good

Hasn't the production changed from the days when it was a big West End hit though ?
My girlfriend and family members saw it years ago and thought it was great.
I saw it for the first time recently - with the same girlfriend and we both thought it was er, a bit naff. Apparently, parts of the story are different and its not as good.

thanks for the reply's peeps, guess i'll just have to go and watch it to see what i think it'll be like. tbh, i'm quite lookin forward to it don't usually go to these things, but the pantomime's always a good laff even if they are different, it's a change from the usual stuff we get up to from time to time

Sorry, but I think performing animals is cruel, so I'm going to report this thread to the moderators and get it locked.
It's no better than Dancing Bears!
No, never seen it. Supposed to be good. Report due when?

Was dragged along as a kid by by parents when it was the big west end musical god knows how many years ago. I am the most uncultured bloke on the planet and hated every minute of it, although some of the female dancers were quite fit Also got dragged to a couple of others like Phantom of the Opera etc, it was bloody torture!
Only thing I ever changed my mind on was being dragged to the last night of the proms, I was adamant I wouldn't go, got dragged along and then loved every minute of it

The current production was in Norwich a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to get tickets. It sold out within days.
Never saw it in the west end but have seen the version the BBC recorded to show one christmas. Can't remember the story of that one well enough to know if they've changed the story.
I thought it was quite good although the storyline is a little weak IMO but then I did go see Blood Brothers in London 2 weeks before Cats and the storyline there is incredibly emotive so I suppose I would have found Cats weak.
The performances from the cast however were absolutley spot on and a woman sat next to me couldn't understand how they did particular bits of it. Bless.
