Trying to go to Los Angeles and San Francisco at the end of July.

Has anyone got any good flight websites and hotel websites?

Went to San Fran last November, we used Expedia

Stayed at the Comfort Inn ( IIRC) on Van Ness Avenue, on the corner of the street where the crookedest street in the world is (cant remember the name of that street)

If you're going to be in SF over a weekend you can get good deals at the Park Hyatt (not the other two naff Hyatts in the city) which is in the Financial District and the Omni which is on California St - one of the main East-West streets. Both are decent hotels.

Jutst got back, as my sun burn illustrates (ouch!) . Can't comment on prices as I don't foot the bill.

I stayed at the Park Hyatt and can recommend it - great views of the Bay.

Try looking here for unbiased comparisons of hotels.

As for Los Angeles, I would stay in Santa Monica if I were you.
