Question Reading Festival Regulars or Reading Locals - Advice Please

I'm going to Reading Festival next month with some friends and my best mate's wife has just found out she is pregnant. She is about three months gone and although really wants to go to the festival, she doesn't fancy the thought of camping mucg anymore.

So, am looking for a suitably close B&B to where the festival is, anyone any advice, 1-2 mile preferably so it is walkable?

Thanks

There is a hotel about 5 mins walk from the main entance (I think it's a 'holiday inn') try searching at http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/
The ques to get in to the arena are often pretty packed so your mates wife might get knocked around a bit :s

Didn't think so most hotels around reading would have been booked up by now.
Best bet is to try hotels and B&Bs on the outskirts and getting a taxi in every day.

i used to work at Rivermead (sportscentre right by the site)....never seen so many filthy long haired lazy hippies in all my life. They spend all week after the festival cleaning hair out of the grids in the pool bootom!

Anyone else got any magical ideas? I have a feeling that going further a field and the taxi in may be the way to go ...

Travel Lodge/Holiday Inn Express type of place between J11 & 12 of the M4 could be worth a look, couple of Quality Inns in Reading or look towards Theale area, largeish hotel on A4, approx 6 miles from Reading town centre.
