Default Help with Insurance Claim

Hello

Unfortunately my wife had an accident a couple of weeks ago, and the car is a write off. We have just been told by the insurers that they would like to settle at £2400 (they left this in a message on the answerphone).

Now, I think this is very reasonable. I thought it was best practice for them to try it on?!

The car is a 5dr T reg Rover 214 that has done £60K. Anyone know if that is actually reasonable? Or should I try it on?!

Thanks,

Steve.

Look on Autotrader site and compare and take say, £500 off asking price? D

seems fair to me. i doubt they will give you much more unless you can back up your argument. sounds like they've done you a favour, tbh. my sister has a slightly older 214 with similar miles and it breaks down daily. sometimes more.
