Mobile phones: Anyone on "three"?
If so are you Pay and Go or contract?
What hidden costs are there?
What phone do you have and is it any good?
How much are text/picture message/video messages to send?
Finally would you recommend the service or is it a fad?
ps I have looked on their site - just wanting "real world" feedback

me and Daren are both on 3. He is on contract and i am on PAYG no hidden charges and it is as simple as it all looks!
both have the motorola a835 but i believe the LG is the best option at the moment.
The a835 is a good phone!
as for txt messages and pic messages etc etc afaik you can only send picture messages and video call when you are on 3G which is the full access. some areas dont have this ... look on their website and it will give you signal strencths for the signal in your area!
I live in a small village that doesnt even have Broaband but i get a really good signal which only drops out occasionally (a lot less than my o2 signal) but you would expect that on any network anyway!
Any questions get on MSN and ill let ya know

1. Check out the coverage. It is still p1ss poor in some areas.. I loose signal frequently.
2. The NEC E616 battery life is crap. 1-2 days standby if you're lucky!
3. I'm on pre-pay 500 minutes (no text) for £25. Does what it says on the tin. No hidden costs and I don't use the video etc.. just my 500 free mins..
No: 3 just about makes up for the crap battery and poor coverage.

The LG is a very good phone, mine lasted over a bank holiday weekend on one charge and that was with loads of calls and showing off to mates n stuff.
The network is good if the places you often are, home, work etc are not on a boundary between 3G and O2 coverage as the phone will swap between them and you will get dropped calls. Make sure you check this out before the end the 14 day return period expires.
