Dog Grooming
We have a fairly aged and very hairy blind Cocker Spaniel, we have always sent her in to the grooming lady for a trim but its expensive and difficult to get a booking so I bought some dog clippers of Ebay, they work but it would take over a year to make an impression on the great hairly lump, just gone at her with the scissors and a big pile of hair came off butfunnily enough the dog doesnt really look any different.
I have paid 13 quid for the useless clippers so has anybody got any suggestions as to what would actually cut through the hair, dont want to spend a fortune but want something that will cut through the hair properly, any Australian sheep shearers on here ?

We too have got Cocker Spaniels (well, one now) - wifey grooms them. The proper way is to actually pull the hair out in little clumps and use scissors to finish off.
Wifey uses normal hair clippers, scissors and those hair thinning scissors. You tend to find that most of the hair is in the ears, undercarriage and legs/tail.
Takes her about an hour and a half to do the dog...... the key thing is time..
Hope this helps

Buy a MoserMax - did my OES with them in half a day. Do it twice and it pays for the clippers; also handy for male beards/ears etc They were £100 - but then the £30 Wahl Animal ones I bought were PANTS! They even have an intercooler
