Wales camping.... ideas?
I'm off to wales camping on sunday for a few days, and thinking of going around the Porthmadog area. Can anyone recommend any sites around there, with decent facilities, near the coast/town/pub.
cheers.

going by car or bike (as opposed toe public transport)?
If so I can recommend the forestry comission campsite in Beddgelert (about 10 mins drive from porthmadog)
located in a forest between Mt Snowdon and Moel Hebog it has showers, launderette (i think, if it's still there) small cafe, shop, and is very quiet.
3-4 mins walk to the village which has 3 pubs, couple of shops and a really good ice cream parlour amongst other things (and family members).
I've stayed there loads of times (my cousins run a farm at the back of the campsite)
link to some help here
I'm off up that way on saturday with the familt by we're staying at a Haven holiday village, my time in tents is over
