Inducing labour naturally
Ok Girls and Guys. Wife is term plus 10, tomorrow is sunroof job if this baby doesn't come out.
She has:
Eaten a hot curry
Had <cough> sex
Crashed her car (not intentionally )
Walked up the stairs two at a time
Had a hot bath
Taken Raspberry tea pills for last two weeks.
Any tips?

Eating plenty of fresh pineapple also works well apparently....we found this out after our last one was 2 weeks early and midwife remarked on it after Nicki said she'd been eating lots recently.

Are they not just going to induce her? Why a CS?? Friend of a friend went to 19 days over as she wanted a natural birth at home. Baby was breech but she still insisted. Had it naturally at home after all the fuss of the doctors ..... just goes to show ...
(My wife has had the first stages - the 'show' - now awaiting the next stage ..... eeekkkk!)
She has done all that your wife did - goes for longish walks every day etc etc Didn't manage to crash the car though ... Apparaently it's not just any old sex - it's *rough* sex that they need....... :-)

Starving herself. I've heard labour can be triggered by babies getting hungry and the mother not being able to satisfy it's hunger any longer.

MattW - there is no way the medical authorities can force your wife to have a CS. Or bully her into saying that that 'is their policy'. Just tell them you're going to wait for nature to take its course.
After all, a CS is a MAJOR operation. I'd be reluctant to even enter hospital these days with the state of basic hygiene in the NHS (yes, I have seen it for myself ...)

A glass of Champagne did ot for my missus.
It was her birthday and she'd been in hospital with high blood pressure. The docotor let her go home and said have a curry and a glass of champagne!
24 hours later, a little George!

Had <cough> sex
Best excuse for a blow job ever IMO. I just got smacked when I suggested it.

We had some acupressure lessons from a midwife - they're well into it in NZ. Supposed to bring on labour naturally. Try google.
(We never got that far - emergency CS for several other reasons).
