Default Puppy training

I have tried the search but its not working for me.

Can anyone provide a link to a thread about house training a puppy, I seen one a while back that said it could be done in a matter of days but cant find it.

I have just bought a bulldog and I know they are hard to train so a good method is required.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not a link, but we trained our Border Terrier in just a couple of days by putting newspaper down near the door, so he learned to go to the door if he needed the toilet.

Also, after every meal, we'd take him outside for 20 minutes or whatever and if he went, we said "Be Good" as he was going and then loads of fuss and play afterwards.

Now we can send him outside, say "Be Good" and he automatically ***** his leg.

All in all training him took no more than about 4 days from bringing him home.

If you do a search on "Dog Training" it comes up with a few hits. Not sure if any of them are the thread that you seek, though.

Does he know the difference between when you're talking to him and others? Just wondering if during conversations, should you say for example "That would be good" if he hears those two words and ***** his leg.

Look on Amazon for a book "How to house train your dog in 7 days" and also look for the "Perfect Puppy" by Gwen Bailey. I prefer the latter and that approach worked very well. The key in the early stages is to pre-empt and to ensure that if the puppy does make a mess you don't punish it, it is your fault for not picking up on the signals (sniffing the floor in circles and so on) and not the puppy's

LOL...that could get messy. But yes, in ordinary conversation he doesn't respond to those words. Same as we can say "walk" in a sentence and not get the hysterical, bouncing squeak-monster that he becomes.

The only word we really have trouble mentioning in a conversational capacity is my brother's name. As soon as he hears it, whether in conversation or statement at his arriving, Bruno is at the door, squeaking and dancing waiting for him.

I've got the how to house train your dog in 7 days book. One of our bullmastiffs sometimes held it and sometimes didnt (most often didnt) when we left them on there own. We bought that book and I was amazed. It worked instantly.

Cool - you didn't even need to read it

No, you put the book on the floor and they poo on it. There are hormones sprayed on the pages.

I think it would be important for him to learn to tear cats to pieces at a very early age
