New Shoes!
Ok, so they are actually trainers, but I've been watching Twin Peaks
Here's a really dumb question, which is the sort of thing you expect from moi
I have some new trainers, now, being an old duffer, I have laced them up the old fashioned way, ie; criss crossed laces and tied with a lovely bow (double bow is too silly ).
I notice that this is not the done thing these days, the laces seem to be straight, and there seem to be no bows involved. So, now for the dumbass question, how do I lace my trainers to be like this, or should I just stick with what I know?
I am not trying to be daddy cool and impress the ladies with my fancy new shoes, I am actually using these shoes to walk/run in, rather than just pose. So maybe I should keep them the way they are? I'm just curious about how to do it.

Not easy to explain but sort of like the diagram below.
Imagine the red line is one side of the lace and the green is the other. The red goes up without looping through any holes except for the top. The other does all the work, you will obviously need to make sure the side that is going through all the loops is quite a bit longer to make sure that they are even when it gets to the top.
(faded out bits show underneath of loops)
Not recommended if you have extremely high arched feet either

Oh, and you should have heard the comments I got on Sat when my friend Nicky and her pal SJ came round to visit. I had, on the advice of someone on here, purchased a large tub of Vaz, and as I'd just arrived home when they called round it was sat on the kitchen counter. Pleas from me saying "It's for my feet!" fell on somewhat deaf ears
