Need a couple of tyres for my mountain bike and just wondered if there were any good sites (And cheap too ) that people could recommend for em?
I can do a google no problemo but thought I'd see if people could make some recommendations to me?

Tyre recommendations - Panaracer Fire XC Pro for most British conditions, though Continental do some very good ones too.

That's what I'm running at the moment. Pretty good in all but the muddiest of conditions. Very resonably priced from Chainreaction. Stuff usually turns up the nex day if they have it in stock

Conti's every time on my XC bike

As for a 100mile road/hardpack tyre I'd just get some slicks stuck on there.

agreed if your only going on the road / gravel paths use slicks, the rolling resistance is substantialy less and you wont have to peddle as much.

I've found Wiggle to be excellent for speed of delivery and service if you want to swap something.

Nick,

I have a pair of tyres and tubes you can have, I changed them for a pair of Continental Competition Pro's.......whoooooooow

They are TIOGA Factory XC/R'S 26X1.95, they came standard on my Scott Octaine, only been for the milk twice on them.

They are all black and have white writing on them, also TIOGA is written on the tyre right around the tread, basically TIOGA is the nobble.

Let me know.

"Yoza's top tips"...handy puncture tip.

Pull the tyre from the bead, on one side.

Pull out innertube, cut it through, and throw over your shoulder.

Fill your tyre with grass, keep it nice and even and pack it tight.

Squeeze the tyre back on its rim, and proceed.

There you go........ puncture proof.

Although I like to take the pi55, I have travelled from the top of MOEL FAMEOU (sp) to the toilet block, with a grass filled back tyre.

I only fell off twice aswell, nothing to do with the grass.......well not the grass in the tyre anyway.......
