MMS/GPRS on Vodafone PAYT rant
My missus has bought a new Vodafone sim card for her 3510i a few months ago and wants to do picture messaging on it
The sim card wasn't MMS/GPRS enabled (same as mine wasn't, but my sim card was 4 years old)
I told her to do to vodafone as I did and they give you a number to ring and you quote them your mobile number and say you want MMS/GPRS enabled and they do it over the fone.
She went there today and apprently they are not allowed to mms/gprs enable sim cards that don't have it enabled anymore and sprouted some talk about people misusing it to send ****.
WTF!
Has anyone else had something similar recently?
I can't see the harm in enabling the sim, she did buy it from vodafone about 3 months ago and it wasn't enabled when she bought it.
Does this sound right to you?
Edited to add they told her the only way she could do MMS is if she buys a PAYT vodafone MMS-enabled fone and accompanying sim card.
