DELETION of "Betting Loop Hole" threads and "Scam" threads
2 threads have recently been removed due to initial content and topic.
While most of the content was fine, other parts may be on a "sticky wicket" legally. My main concern is the wrong type of publicity this could and most probably already has received due to Scoobynet's enormous presence.
I truly believe there was no harm intended by the originator of the stories.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Regards,
Shaun.

Does that mean each and every thread discussing Tax evasion, Speeding, Warranty affecting Mods, non-declaration of insurance affecting mods, "getting off" speeding tcikets etc etc will also be deleted ??
i.e how sticky does a wicket have to be before its banned from S'net. On-line betting/casinos face a constant battle to attract new victims (customers). Their entire business is built around playing the odds and coming out just the right side. To assume they arent aware that occasionally the punters will do the same is pretty naive (imho). They invest millions in making sue they can spot patterns of betting behaviour - given that the offers being exploited/enjoyed are still available - it would suggest Ladbrokes are entirely happy with the offers - and the way they are being taken up.
After all they now have several thousand more people with live on-line betting accounts.

I think the 2nd betting thread was a sticky wicket as shown by the managers response on the mg forum as the t&c's of their offers were being tested tot he max. However Ladbrokes t&c's were not broken in anyway with any behaviour discussed on the thread about its offers. We played the game, some lost, some gained on their initial investment and then we claimed what we were entitled to as new customers, the free credits. How is that a sticky wicket?
I totally agree with Deano's post - where do you draw the line on whats acceptable and whats not?

I agree. i dont think its fair that someone can highlight an exploit, adertise it, and get their post deleted.
there was NOTHING underhand, and every participant as indicated tries "at their own risk" plus everyone has to sign up and read the t&c's for themselves.
i think their should be more sharing of info in this world, and, whilst i gambled the bonus money away anyway, am most grateful for being alerted to it.
thanks guys!!

Sorry, likewise I disagree (although I suspect that we can all disagree until we're blue in the face - it's his train set ).
The initial thread on the Ladbrokes casino thingy was fine. At the end of the day Ladbrokes make hod loads of cash of people through day to day betting. If they're willing to set up a promotion such as this then they need to be sure they can cover it. It's like the Hoover/Free flights offer of a few years back. A promotion that was set up in order to ultimately make money/profit for the company. It's their own fault that all the loopholes weren't sealed beforehand. Unlucky, kids. Where and how information about these loopholes is posted is irrelevant; there was nothing illegal/libellous etc in anything posted on SN. It was people's own money that they were "risking"....
PS. £210 now showing on my online Bank Statement

Just had the-mail confirming my bonus has been paid and it includes :-
"Please note you must turn this bonus payment over 4 times before withdrawing or you will be excluded from any future Promotions"
i.e. you can take it and run now - but you'll kick yourself when we offer the same deal for £200 next month . Effectively ladbrokes marketing department have spent some money to get myself and many others of their target market (disposable income, credit card and too much spare time in front a PC ) to sign up to get on-line accounts.
Prob several thousand times more cost effective that TV advertising

You'll note I didn't contribute to any of the original thread and that is quite simply because it wasn't new to me. I have in the past cashed in in the casion bonuses but can't be bothered to go actively looking for them - I'd rather play poker.
They aren't illegal and there isn't a loophole either so they are perfectly legit. A lot of casinos offering such bonuses exclude roulette play for the very reason that you can cover the board and take your profit. However, some don't and therefore its fair gain. So they might lose a few hundred bucks to every few punters that is clever/informed but for every 1 of those are 100 that play and get hooked on gambling so everyone is a winner if you are one of the 'informed' or if you are the casino

Ok folks...
Before we start a "establishment bashing"........
Concerning the Ladbrookes thread....
At the time when I was told about the thread I was unable to read it and look at the in's and out's in its entirety, as I had to make a descision then at that minute. Like I said, no blame was cast. If I had got it wrong (regards the Ladbrooke thread), then I apologise.
Regards,
Shaun.

So webmaster can you re-instate the deleted thread?
As already stated, Ladbrokes are not stupid. They will have already established that x % will do this and potentially another x % will continue betting with them thus covering their loses and creating further profit. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a bit naive IMHO.

BTW I have just received my initial £100 back from the second "scam" basically I had not fulfilled the obligations of the free money so they re set my account, no rules broken as such and I get my money back.
I really cant see the problem with each of theses tips being posted?

If one of your team has contacted you, as you state "told about the thread" then what exactly was their problem with the thread?
I suspect it's more to do with someone's personal feelings about gambling and was an intentional "R.T.Webmaster" for exactly the reason of getting it deleted. If it was an individual post then why not simply remove it?
Edited to add : I understand some people have strong feelings about gambling, I'm not knocking that in any way you are entitled to your opinions. I personally have never before gambled in a casino, or even on a horse, ever, and have no intention of doing so again - but thats not a basis for deleting a thread.
