Question Anyone stayed at Gatwick Hilton?

Looking for a night over & parking at Gatwick ahead of my hols in the US this summer & the Hilton seems to be very good value.

However, has anyone stayed there & can give me a view on the likelihood of getting a reasonable night's sleep given its proximity to the airport (ie part of the South terminal)?

Blurb says its triple glazed but even so.....

Yeah, we had a night there before a flight, didn't notice any excessive noises, other than my lasses wind after the meal!

Thumbs up

LOL

Thanks chaps - looks like this is the best bet.

Have to check in for flights so early that I'd prefer to get to check-in extra early & then crash at the hotel for another couple of hours.

Particularly true given I'll have an easily bored 7 year old in tow.

Don't know who you are flying with, but if it's Virgin, you can check in between 3pm and 9pm on the previous day.

Superb place, no noise at all.

Got there to be greeted by a member of staff to tell me they'd given our booked room to someone else but before I could begin to get miffed they told me they had put us into a penthouse suite.

That was early afternoon so we made full use of the swimming pool etc and after food we were well ready for bed.

Fell out of bed onto the suitcase trolley and never sat up till check-in.
