Q on Facet Fuel pumps used with 2 SU carbs
This is a bit teccy, but I was wondering if anyone could give some advice on this.
I have a Rover v8 engine fitted in my off roader, rated to about 170-180bhp running off a pair of SU HIF carbs, and it requires a fuel pump.
Without resorting to genuine (costly and questionable) SU pumps. I'll probably buy a Facet fuel pump:
Probably the (480530) 27gallon/hour at 5 to 6 psi (rated to 200bhp) although they make one rated to 150bhp (476087) which does 18gal/hour at 4 to 4.5psi, which maybe more suitable depending on the following question:
Will I need a fuel pressure regulator? As I have no facility for a return hose, and no idea on what the required fuel flow and maximum pressure the SU's can take without causing them to overflow.
Any wisdom will be greatly recieved.

Ali; have you tried speaking to the guys at Bearmach in Wales, they are pretty clued up. Who are you buying the pump from? Just curious as my company distributes the Facet Ignition range and we are always being asked for the fuel pumps, which is a US company.
